Description
A multi-figure metaphorical composition with expressive features of neo-expressionism. Elongated, plastic figures resemble sacred or angelic entities that bend and interact around the central action. The images are written conditionally and deformatively, which is a characteristic feature of the author's handwriting, where the emotional state and internal energy prevail over the realistic accuracy of forms.
The artist refuses precise academic realism in favor of the transmission of pure emotion. Textured, pasty strokes are applied directly to the rough base of burlap. A golden line-contour unites the figures, creating a mystical glow and emphasizing the relationship between the earthly and the heavenly.
The color scheme is built on the contrast of cold and warm shades. Deep purple, blue-green and earthy tones prevail at the bottom, symbolizing earthly sorrow and twilight. They are contrasted by ocher, gold, and white flashes in the upper part of the canvas, which personify transcendent light and hope.
The work has a deep psychological subtext and is a characteristic example of how the author reinterprets the classical spiritual heritage through the prism of modern art.
From above and below, it is possible to mount the work on small diameter sticks.
