Description
The work is created at the junction of abstract expressionism and mythological fantasy. The images do not have clear realistic contours; instead, they are born from the dynamics of the brushstroke, hints and color spots.
The focus of the composition is an expressive, dark, blue-black figure floating in space. Visually, it clearly resembles a rider galloping on a horse, or a mythical image. The dynamics of the creature's legs and the inclination of the rider's body create a strong effect of movement, flight or travel through a storm.
The painting is built on a sharp contrast and struggle of warm and cold elements.
The upper zone is filled with a whirlwind of turquoise, blue, deep blue and light cream strokes. It creates the impression of a stormy sky, cosmic fog or mental space.
The lower zone has a sharp transition into burning fiery red, terracotta and red-brown shades. This can symbolize a red-hot landscape, boiling magma, a field of red flowers, or an alarming earth surface above which a rider rises.
Made in the impasto technique.
Broad, energetic brushstrokes create a pronounced texture, giving the picture volume and internal pulsation.
