Mosaicos de Fe: La Virgen María y Jesús, 2026

This diptych presents a powerful synthesis of ancient spiritual iconography and modern geometric abstraction. Two central figures emerge from a fractured landscape of light and color. To the left, a serene feminine presence wears a deep blue mantle. Her gaze is steady and compassionate. She holds a golden rosary with delicate precision. To the right, a triumphant figure ascends. His arms are flung wide in a gesture of absolute openness. A stark white drape contrasts with a vibrant red cloak.
The composition relies on a faceted technique. Sharp angles and crystalline planes break the surface into a kaleidoscope of gold, azure, and crimson. This rhythmic fragmentation suggests a divine energy radiating from the subjects. Gold leaf accents enhance the luminosity of the background. The light does not simply illuminate the figures; it emanates from them.
The artist balances solemnity with a contemporary aesthetic. Polished surfaces meet raw, expressive brushwork. Each panel functions independently yet creates a cohesive dialogue of faith and transcendence. The symmetry of the two canvases evokes a sense of cosmic order. Depth is achieved through overlapping geometric shards and a sophisticated play of warm and cool tones. The convergence of these elements transforms traditional religious motifs into a timeless visual experience.
