Sophie Devignot is a French painter born in Moret sur Loing on November 12, 1969. Her movement of influence is "symbolism". She is pursuing a Master's degree in Visual Arts at the University of Saint Denis - Personal and collective exhibitions in Paris and Jonzac.
"In my painting, pictorial expression joins bodily expression. I like to play with the firm lines of bodies and with materials beyond simple pigments, to bring dynamism to the whole. My symbolic canvases decorated with sheets of copper, chrome and sometimes stones, allow me to express timelessness; to fix a look, an attitude, a feeling for eternity, contrasting with the ephemerality of movement. I want to paint life in its fleetingness. .
