Born in Narbonne in 1987, Aiiroh is a French artist.

He began painting graffiti at a very young age in the train stations of several cities, a place where artists had easy access to huge walls.

Little by little, at the beginning of the 2000s, he began working as a stencil artist, allowing him to proceed more quickly in the street, and thanks to a friend discovered the work of poster artists such as Raymond Hains, Villeglé, Dufrêne and Rotella.

These will become a real obsession for the artist. “I draw a lot of inspiration from this movement which for me has a great poetic dimension! I sometimes spend entire nights wandering around to find and tear down the poster I like.

I am thinking of adding a touch of optimism and color and do not like to politicize my work too much, but today more than ever my artistic practice as a poster designer finds an echo in the 1961 exhibition by Hains which greatly affected: “France torn apart”. In some of his works, he integrates brands to remind us of human dependence on consumer products. The anarchy of the dripping, the turbulence of the compositions stand in contrast with the pure lines of the graphics of the brand logos, but also of the famous LOVE by the American artist Indiana.

Does the graphic force of these logos also have an effect on our collective unconscious as well as on our aesthetic codes? For several years, Aiiroh has already been exhibited in several galleries in Europe as well as on the international scene (Switzerland, Italy, UK, Greece, Israel, USA, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan).

“Thanks to Banksy and before him Blek le Rat, young street artists like me can have visibility that they would never have had before. Works that were previously intended for a few passers-by in a dark and obscure alley can now be seen by as many people as possible.

Social networks, particularly Instagram, also play a large part in the growth and explosion of street art. I define myself as a street artist but also pop, in the original sense of “popular”, which brings street culture to life. I like to be ironic and play with references and icons that touch and bring my generation together. However, most often I try to keep a spirit of love and optimism.”

Presentation

Aiiroh, a renowned contemporary artist, stands out in the art world with a unique approach combining acrylic painting, street art, and pop art. His work, marked by a great diversity of techniques, blends lithography and painting, creating vibrant and dynamic compositions. Through his works, Aiiroh explores themes from pop culture, incorporating iconic references to figures like Michael Jackson and elements of street art.

The artist uses innovative techniques, associating acrylic painting applied and lithography paper, creating works where materials meet and interact. The search for textures and shadows is key in his portraits, where shadow and light mix to give an intriguing, modern dimension to his creations. All of this is skillfully staged in his collections of art, combining street art and pop art techniques.

Originally from France, and specifically from Narbonne, Aiiroh expanded his international presence with exhibitions in cities such as Paris, Marseille, Hong Kong, Miami, and many others. The artist has also collaborated with other artists to produce influential street art pieces, making him a key figure in contemporary art. His original approach, combining sculpture, painting, and paper art, demonstrates his desire to push the boundaries of classical art, while remaining deeply rooted in street art and pop culture traditions.

Aiiroh is an artist whose works continue to captivate and inspire, bringing together collectors and art enthusiasts worldwide. The techniques of lithography and the richness of the forms used in his works make each piece a testament to his limitless creativity and commitment to contemporary art.
