This large format painting was painted outdoors, to be as close to the earth as possible. It represents a chakra of the planet Earth. The entire canvas background is made from charcoal.
It has a high vibrational frequency that helps to attune our level of consciousness with that of Gaia.
can be seen as a true gateway between humans and the cosmos, a point of interconnection between the energy of the Earth (Gaia) and our own spiritual dimension.
• The raw texture recalls earthly elements such as rock or coal, rooted in materiality.
• The light rays evoke the invisible connection between the earth's energy center and the cosmos, symbolizing both anchoring and elevation.
By integrating coal (fossil residue), the artist establishes a bridge between humans and the primordial resources of our planet. This choice of material invites us to meditate on our connection with Gaia: how can we better harmonize our energies with those of the Earth to move towards a collective balance.
The painting acts as a support for contemplation, an invitation to slow down, to listen to the frequencies of Gaia and to find this balance between being and the environment.
The term is often used to refer to a multidimensional gateway, a transition point between realities or planes of existence. In this context, the painting can be seen as an energetic door, a vortex that connects:

• The cosmos: universal energies.
• The Earth: our root and anchor point.

Charlotte Orel is a painter whose works are a translation of the way in which she understands nature, life, the cosmos. To bring perceptions back to matter, she uses natural materials, such as ashes, coal, earth, sand, grape marc, which she collects during her expeditions around the planet.There is a whole work of preparing the raw material which is completely part of the creation of the canvas: it mixes, grinds, filters, before being able to create natural paints. And what is painted on the canvas is channeled, that is to say not of the order of the mind. There is a meditative phase beforehand as well.Once the painting is on the canvas, to present certain paintings, she paints her body, dances, and creates animations and video montages. It is like a tool in the service of Life.
