Japanese artist with an American West Coast cartoon style, Yusuke Hanai paintings, sculptures and prints showcase some grumpy cartoon characters. From surfer Yusuke became full time drawer, moved to California, then back to Japan, worked for Vans and other skate/surf brand and finally became a worldwide hit.
His last Hong Kong show « Facing The Current » shows “people who are facing 'currents' of their own », an idea that emotions does not always have to be positive and that a more depressed and human reality can also be shared through art. His Nft release « People In The Place They Love » was one of the big successes of 2022.
