Fine black pen drawing. Polyptych made up of 9 panels.
Framed, provenance live from the artist.
This striking polyptych, divided into nine distinct panels, invites the spectator to dive into a dreamlike landscape with details meticulously rendered. The work uses a monochromatic palette of shades of gray, which gives an ethereal and spiritual atmosphere to the scene represented. Each panel seems to capture an instantaneous nature, where complex branches and umbels of flowers seem to emerge from the surrounding mist. The subtle game of light and shadow highlights the delicate texture of natural elements, while the modular composition of the triptych reinforces a feeling of depth and movement. The branches, although frozen, seem to vibrate, as if the wind was blowing slowly through the frame, animating plant elements. This work is distinguished by its ability to marry the complexity of the detail with an apparent simplicity, thus creating a captivating visual tension. The repetition of forms and the fragmented framing impose on the spectator a careful exploration of each section, gradually revealing the subtleties and delicacies of this artistic creation.

Born in 1982, Yvanne de Coligny is a French artist living and working in the Lyon area.
A qualified plastic arts teacher, she has primarily devoted herself to drawing and painting since 2020, while also pursuing a teaching career at a high school.
Her current reflections focus on the concept of time, which she explores through her observations of fragments of wild and protective nature that seem to develop beyond the confines imposed by the chosen mediums, and through artistic choices that evoke the notion of fragility.
Her practice in photography influences her framing and compositional choices, and her fondness for Japanese prints is evident in the purity of her drawing lines. Her works are decidedly graphic and organic, viewed as open windows onto a wild and depopulated world, where nature reclaims its rights.
