Standing before this Nordic tableau, I found myself confronting the insufferable smugness of untouched nature—that self-satisfied wilderness that dares to exist without human neurosis, without the beautiful anxiety that defines our contemporary condition.
The cottage squats there like a philosophical proposition: what if Heidegger had been a real estate developer? This isn't mere architecture; it's an existential statement about dwelling, about the human compulsion to inscribe domesticity onto the indifferent face of the sublime. I painted it moss-covered because even our intrusions must eventually submit to time's democratic decay.
The water's mirror-surface became my canvas within the canvas—a meta-commentary on representation itself. Here, reflection doesn't merely double reality; it inverts hierarchy. The reflected cottage possesses more permanence than its corporeal counterpart, suggesting that perhaps our artistic interpretations of space hold more ontological weight than the spaces themselves.
The moss-covered roof functions as my visual thesis on impermanence. Every green growth represents time's small victories over human intention. I painted this verdant decay because it suggests that perhaps our greatest architectural achievements occur when we stop trying to control them.

Born in Poland, studied Literature at the University of Nicolaus Copernicus and completed her Masters in painting from the University of Warmia and Mazury.
After graduation she gained experience working at Triada Art Gallery - biggest modern art gallery located in northern Poland. Currently based in Dubai, Mary collaborating with art galleries in Austria, Poland and UAE, auction houses in Belgium, Uk and Nederlands and working with top 5 Stars hotels.
Her art is characterized by vivid colors, exaggerated characters with a big emotional feel. The figures are quiet, noble and riveting. The canvas holds all the secrets. Every collection is a visual tale of life. The idealistic figures, she paints, their expression of disagreement nudges the viewer to consider delving into a realm on non- reality. Her work is heavily inspired by fashion world, fashion illustration, mail art, Art Nouveau, Japanese woodcut, old masters.
