Following the success of the SERGE GAINSBOURG ET CAETERA exhibition at the Galerie One Toutou with WE NEED ART at the Marché Dauphine in Saint-Ouen, the artists of L'atelier. Espace de création have chosen to present around thirty works on the universe of this essential French artist of the past century. Their illustrations, customs and paintings are already exhibited in Paris and have aroused the enthusiasm of the public.
Why choose to create this event?
Yarps, at the origin of the Parisian exhibition, is a friend of Tarek and Mat Elbé with whom he has performed numerous performances at 5 rue de Verneuil, an emblematic place for the singer's fans. His works will be visible in this exhibition as well as stencils by Mat Elbé and collaborations between these three companions... Olivier Nestelhut, Vincent Pompetti and Audrey Rouvin, also present at the Marché Dauphine, played the game once again and will present new works . Music will be at the center of this exhibition, especially since Olivier in another life played pieces by Gainsbourg in cabarets and other jazz clubs... The circle will therefore be complete!
The artists of the gallery have chosen to invite other creators to give this event a colorful, lively and musical touch...
In Paris, 30 artists celebrated Gainsbourg's 30th birthday, while in Rennes, 30 works will mark this anniversary date.

Vincent Pompetti was born in 1977 from an Italian family installed in Liege(Belgium). After his studies ended in 1998, he begins a career in comic strip, mainly in France. His passions go for writing science fiction stories and also historic. His interest for the geopolitics, Espionage, "film noir" , grow up when he met the scriptwriter Tarek in 2004, with whom he makes numerous albums on this theme (Rasputin, Sir Arthur Benton, The Gallic Wars)
At the same time as His painter’s temperament revealed in fine art school develops; exposing on the theme of the years 40-50, Vincent plays on violent contrast between light and shadow, and pastel colors, to return at the same time the strength of the life and also his contemplative side. Vermeer, the impressionists and Pre-Raphaelites, as well as the americans illustrators of the 20th century (Frank Frazetta, N.C.Wyeth, or Maxfield Parrish ) are a source of inspiration since a long time.
Vincent Pompetti likes as well working on thematic as the knights of the Round Table, the Middle Ages, the charm of the years 50-60, or suggestive myths as the Atlantis.Depuis on 2010 he paints so sometimes for four hands with his colleague Tarek, also painter of street art, and some common paintings(clothes) are born. The careers(quarries) of draftsman and painter are now in parallel.vincent Pompetti is also scriptwriter for comics, and he is storyboarder for a movie in progress.

Can I negotiate the price of an artwork?
For some artworks, you can negotiate the price. If the price of the work is negotiable, you have a “Make an offer” button under the “Buy this work” one.
To submit your offer, you must make a payment of the desired amount. Your offer will then be forwarded to the gallery, which reserves the right to accept or reject it. If your offer is accepted, it means that your order is confirmed by the gallery and they will prepare the artwork for shipment. If your offer is rejected, you will be refunded the total amount paid automatically. The gallery can also propose a counter-offer for the acquisition of the artwork.

Where can I have my order delivered?

However, please note that once your order reaches its destination, it may be subject to VAT or other customs fees. These charges are beyond our control and you will be responsible for paying them (this is indicated at the ‘checkout’ first step).

Return and cancellation
You can return the artwork without needing to provide a reason or pay a penalty fee up to 14 days after receiving your order.
In the case that the right of withdrawal is exercised in the aforementioned time frame, the price of the artwork(s) purchased and the shipping costs will be reimbursed by us as soon as the gallery has received the artwork and notified us.
Artsper will manage the return of the work and will bear the cost of returns (which will either be paid by you and refunded by Artsper or directly paid by Artsper).
The artwork must be returned in perfect condition and in its original packaging (or equivalent).
