Before becoming a full time artist, Robert Hilmersson worked in an advertising agency and has several years of experience in imaging technologies, both digital and handmade.
Robert Hilmersson addresses subjects such as politics, social relationships, pop culture and others, which is reflected in his pieces which have humorist and smart titles.
His works are a combination of different elements and materials, colors, graphic design, typography, all playing an important role in his pieces. Each piece has a central idea. Whether human behavior, politics, social criticism or something else.
The subjects are always about the life that surrounds us. He uses strong images to reach the emotions of the viewer. His goal is not to shock but to give opinions and different points of views on the same subject. He wants the viewer to think and interpret by himself what he sees.
