The ex-voto could fight against this fear if accompanied by many prayers...
Note: The silver-plated metal of the ex-voto may oxidize when exposed to air, giving it a more interesting, aged appearance, as it too is meant to age and lose its brilliance.

More than twenty years ago now, an artist friend during a walk cut a branch of forsythia attacked by galls from a hedge, telling me that it could be a good subject to paint.
So I took out my brushes and my school paints and reproduced the branch quite clumsily. But the virus took hold, pushing me to paint and progress. My scientific training and observational drawing help me a little for line, time and practice for color.
For ten years, I have accepted the idea of showing my work which revolves mainly around botany, zoology with often a suggested or even suggestive double reading.
I have a personal museum of curiosities which serves as a database for the production of my images.
I mainly use watercolor as a medium but also the repurposing of engravings, objects and photography.
