Presentation
I am an artist born in Ferreries (Menorca) and living in Barcelona. I studied Graphic Design at the Escola d'Arts Aplicades i Oficis Artístics, Llotja, and I make my living as a graphic, editorial, and brand designer.
I have always loved painting, but in the worst moments of the pandemic, what was a simple hobby became a necessity.
I use acrylic and collage to tell stories through layers and stains of paint, cardboard, typefaces, and glued papers. I seek to envelop these layers of paint with seemingly everyday stories, and at the same time, these everyday stories end up forming an unusual, strange, astonishing snapshot of an ordinary street in Barcelona, with intertwined faces that form strange cracks in the walls, and which simultaneously bear witness to the middle-aged man who has just bought a gift for his partner, or the carefree young woman listening to music while leaning against the tree, waiting for her date from the night before to show up... who knows. I like to think of my works as urban tales of Barcelona, because yes, my work is very Barcelona, very Raval, and the people who walk past my paintings end up entering a particular world, which I hope will also surprise those who view my works.
