Valérie de Montvallon

Valérie De Montvallon is a painter born in France in 1958. She creates subtle paintings with refined art papers that she presents at the Galerie de Lise Cormery. This is why she was selected to participate in the Olympiades des Arts in Paris. Rather than presenting a personal work, she presents a joint work 'Sans Titre' to represent Canada with Christiane Baillargeon, who came from Quebec and was then staying in France. Their work as a duo was presented at the Olympiades des Arts in Paris in 1991 and 1992, under the aegis of President Mitterrand and the Mayor of Paris, Jacques Chirac, the artist was part of the Canadian delegation as a duo. This international event is organized by the Galerie Lise Cormery for the French National Olympic and Sports Committee, under the Presidency of the CNOSF of Nelson Pailhou in 1991 and 1992 in Paris, on the occasion of the 1992 Winter Olympic Games in France.

The Paris Arts Olympiad followed the prestigious Seoul Arts Olympiad, where the city founded for this competition a Museum of International Paintings and the SOMA, an open-air Museum of Monumental Sculptures, with guest artists from around the world to exhibit and represent 20th century art.

His paintings have been sold in 19 public sales, including at Neret-Minet & Associés in 1996 and in 2016 with his mixed media painting on canvas 'L'Egyptienne'.
