Maxime Giaquinto and Nikonografik (France 1991 and 1973)
Complementarity par excellence.
Maxime Giaquinto studied art in Belgium and returned to France in 2018 to participate in the urban artistic impetus of Roubaix. Maxime likes complex materials like polystyrene and instinctive drawing. He expresses himself through portraits with deep and often disturbing features with their dark side.
With Nikonografik, pseudonym of Nicolas Boulogne, color dominates. The often geometric shapes are spontaneous and bring a poetic sparkle to his portraits.
This duo met at the Rémyco workshops and then formed at the Alternator, a nursery for street artists in Roubaix. Since then, they have chained frescoes, walls, and projects in pairs.
Each work is a subtle alchemy, rich in contrasts, a mixture of two opposing worlds that nothing brought together and which nevertheless blend together perfectly.
