Presentation

KB is an artist, originally from Normandy. Self-taught, he exploits a passion for drawing and creation since his childhood. As a student, he was fascinated by cinema and drawing, but at the time he only saw it as a passion. He drew, painted and customized all types of media on a regular basis. Moving away from the traditional curriculum, KB decides to follow his own methodology and devotes himself to painting in order to explore and acquire new techniques while keeping his drawing spirit. KB bases his work on the visual strength of popular figures that everyone can identify with such as Marilyn Monroe, Robert De Niro or Michael Jordan. He was inspired by the films of his adolescence. From Mohamed Ali to Jordan Belfort, he sees through these characters icons by what they have accomplished, whether in good or bad. "I think the moment you accomplish something that makes a mark on the world, you become an icon in people's eyes." KB.

Powerful, intimidating, sometimes threatening, but mostly influential characters. By mixing newspaper clippings, acrylic, spray paint and epoxy resin, the artist gives dimension to his art by putting side by side pop culture, urban culture and a social commentary, money. Indeed, he sees through a universal image having power in this world of consumption. He will stage this image through paintings or sculptures such as "This is America" or "Trash Dollars", a golden office trash filled with $100 bills to denounce capitalism.
