Biography
Rex Cabaroc is a visual artist working in realism, using oil paint as his primary medium. His practice draws inspiration from the grandeur of the Renaissance, the futuristic allure of cyberpunk, and the introspective stillness of melancholia. These influences converge to form a distinctive visual language—one that blends classical technique with modern themes, creating scenes that are rich in symbolism, emotional weight, and narrative tension.
Rex's work often explores the intersection of beauty and decay, tradition and futurism, light and shadow. Each canvas becomes a space where historical depth meets contemporary vision, inviting viewers to navigate through both external environments and internal states of being. His detailed brushwork and dramatic compositions evoke timelessness, while his themes remain anchored in the complexities of the present.
He recently mounted his solo exhibition Scarlet, co-presented a two-man show titled As We Fly, and participated in various group exhibitions that showcase his evolving body of work. His journey as an artist is a continuous unfolding—one that embraces vulnerability, celebrates transformation, and seeks to give form to the intangible through the quiet language of paint.
