

Biography
Kenan M. Peter, also known as Kaynan Kayphas, is a Nigerian artist based in Abuja. He was born on 11 June 1997 in Kwara State, Nigeria, but hails from KogiState. Kaynan's journey as an artist began in 2018, and he has since participated in various art exhibitions, including the Roadless Travel Exhibition, Let's Go Pink(Breast Cancer Awareness Exhibition), Art and Human Rights Exhibition (Montreal, Canada), Holy Art Fair Exhibition(London), and many more. In 2024,
Kaynan gained recognition as one of the award-winning artist of the 19th edition of the Embassy of Spain Art Competition in Nigeria. His winning artwork reflected his talent for merging cultural narratives through visual art.
Kaynan's work is characterised by the use of paint and the depiction of figures, portraiture, nature, and symbols. He draws inspiration from a wide range of sources, including history, nature, and old religious literature. His unique style has garnered attention from collectors and galleries around the world, with his first art auction taking place in London in 2022.
Kaynan is also a third-generation member of the Elbow Room Art Club, founded on 1 October 2016 in Abuja. This exclusive group, comprising artists with diverse styles and techniques, has nurtured his growth as an artist. Kaynan currently serves as the Secretary of the Art club.
