Presentation
A Polish artist, Lukasz Fruczek was born in 1975.
He studied at the Fine Arts School in Gdansk, with a specialization in graphic design and painting. He obtained his diploma in 2001 with honors from the jury.
His work strongly plays around with contrasts and colors. Black, white and red are mixed to create chromatic combinations which highlight the look. Shapes are pure and clear, both in their global composition and their habitat. The geometry is simplified and reduced, therefore a cat turns into a black rectangle with two rectangles in the form of ears and two sub thinner rectangles along with longer ones as paws.
One can see that the artist wants to showcase his design with thin strokes which adorn the painting. He alternates between blocks of colors and layouts therefore providing texture to his work.
Lukaz Fruczek has participated in solo and group exhibitions, mainly in Poland but also in Great Britain. The galleries with oils on canvas are more dissimilar, in Poland, Japan, Netherlands, Sweden, Germany and Australia
