The artist deposits a thick layer of acrylic paint on the canvas with a knife, to which he adds oil paint with large impastos. He finalizes the work by bringing small touches of fluorescent paint, which allows the artist to offer a double reading to his canvases in the dark with a black light.

A self-taught artist, Mory Ouattara discovered drawing from an early age and began to draw on all the supports he could find: scraps of paper or cardboard and used, for lack of pencils, the remains of his teacher's chalk.
Very quickly, in 2010 thanks to national recognition, he created his gallery, the Soleil gallery.
In 2013 he was noticed by Gilbert COUDENE (creator of the City of Creation, to whom we owe the mural frescoes in Lyon, among others...).
He trained for 3 years at the International School of Mural Art ECOHLCITÉ.
He decides to devote himself exclusively to his artistic creation and creates his studio/gallery where he exhibits his work.
At the same time, he runs painting and sculpture workshops. And continues to honor commissions for murals.
Mory's work is abundant, rich in various subjects and pictorial techniques.
Working mainly in acrylic and oil with a knife on canvas or recycled materials, Mory offers us colorful works, in motion, as if the artist wanted to freeze time by offering us moments of life.
A double reading of his paintings is offered to us in the light of day and in the dark thanks to fluorescent paint and black light.
Its large layers of material combine roughness and lightness.
Mory is not interested in producing “beauty" but in getting the viewer to react with a strong proposal of emotions.
