KHLORIS The title of the series derives from one of the many conversations in which Jorge Luis Borges, a lover of walks and walks through streets, parks and gardens, in those conversations he claimed to stop, listen carefully and to be able to distinguish, among the noise and chaos of the city, the voices and songs of the birds, and thus, following the voices of the birds, he reached the parks and gardens as if the breadcrumbs had been left to him by the birds themselves. . birds and assured him that it was possible to find in these parks and gardens all the buried voices and songs, whether seeds or diamonds. With this series the artist imagines Borges trying to fix his own gaze on the blurry image that was represented before him, the distant lights of the city, its advertisements and reflections, the silhouettes and its expressive silences, trying to exchange sounds for shapes, songs. of birds like lights. To the question of Korean philosopher Byung-Chul Han: Is it possible in this era of digitalization to look at nature again, to fill it with romanticism? Larios resorts to this image of Borges, insisting on looking, observing, seeing, the Khloris series is a metaphor of the beginning, of the first look at Eden, it is an attempt to rediscover ourselves in that expressive silence of light where for the first time we exchange forms of desire.

Francisco Larios practices painting, open-concept drawing, and the use of software to create two and three-dimensional visual environments. In his imaginary, the postmodern condition is achieved in terms that contemporary culture is the starting point for the elaboration of sceneries that manifest the return to sacred references, philosophical themes, and immemorial fabulations.
In Larios' work, landscape is treated conceptually, sometimes, as space where studies of the dreamlike, the bond between human beings and their surroundings, and the nature of objects develop; in other cases as the practice of graphic representation of mathematical, physical and musical principles which part from the idea of the horizon as divisive line and as a limit.
Larios production is a poetic, ironic, and reflexive exploration of the state of our relationship with faith, will, and destiny.
