For the last 30 years, Henri De Quatrebarbes's style, recognizable through its extrordinary color palette, has evolved between two modes of expression : one very simple, based on surfaces of color separated by lines and simple geometric shapes, and another "baroque" universe, in which colors form a ballet in perpetual movement.
In parallel to his studies, Henri De Quatrebarbes has taken for many years drawing and painting courses at the Galerie du Bac, in Paris. During these years he has acquired a great mastery of the techniques he uses and combines.
For the artist, having a different occupation than his practice is a necessity. Henri De Quatrebarbes needs to take part in the life of the community, have a normal everyday life in order to be able to pursue, in parallel, his personal aesthetic research and his inner oniic universe. Henri De Quatrebarbes's creative approach shows the confrontation between the exterior world and the universe of his dreams.
