In "The Last Judgment of Paris," Daniil Litvinov reimagines the classical myth through a surreal and apocalyptic lens. The once-glorious tale of divine beauty and mortal choice is transformed into a chaotic, nightmarish vision — a world decayed by war, lust, and spiritual collapse. The central female figure, exaggerated in form and adorned in crimson, symbolizes corrupted desire and fallen ideals. Her body is entangled with grotesque shapes and bound figures, evoking a sense of suffering, temptation, and judgment all at once. The landscape is desolate, filled with twisted bodies, eerie tree-figures, and monstrous towers belching smoke. Symbols of modern conflict — like a tank-shaped war monument — merge with ancient mythology, suggesting the cyclical nature of human folly. The grim, skeletal figure with a staff, possibly a distorted Paris or a personification of death, leads the viewer into a scene where the line between gods, humans, and beasts has vanished. Litvinov uses this dystopian allegory to critique the loss of moral clarity in the modern world. The myth of choice becomes a grotesque parody of itself — where every option leads to destruction. This painting is a powerful statement about the consequences of vanity, violence, and the corruption of beauty in a civilization spinning out of control.

Daniil Olegovich Litvinov was born on October 16, 1982, in Odessa. He is the son of O. Litvinov. In 2012, he successfully completed his studies at the Art and Graphics Faculty of the South Ukrainian Pedagogical University (Odessa). During his education, his specialization was painting and graphics, with A. Tokareva as his instructor.
Daniil Litvinov is a painter and graphic artist, showcasing his talent in various genres and styles. His artistic works include portraits, landscapes, still lifes, as well as paintings with historical, religious, and mythological themes. He also creates illustrations for books.
In his work, Litvinov employs diverse artistic techniques, including oil, tempera, ink, pen, watercolor, and pastel. His creative process is constantly evolving. Additionally, he possesses teaching skills, as he worked at the Odessa branch of the Kiev University of Culture in 2009.
Litvinov actively participates in exhibitions since 2000, underscoring his commitment and desire to showcase his art to the public. In 2008, he held his solo exhibition in Odessa, showcasing his artistic accomplishments and style.
