“Lise Cormery helps KLAMERUS (1956-1992) to cross “The Wall of Shame” in Poland and obtain a pass to exhibit his monumental woven sculptures, including his famous “Crucifixion” 4 meters high in sisal , in his Paris gallery in 1986, then in 1988 and in 1990. Klamerus with the face of an angel has been suffering from poliomyelitis since a young age, nevertheless courageously he sculpts and creates in profusion strong monumental political and ecumenical works, works of resistance in these troubled times, odes to freedom of thought and love of neighbor. After sculpting the marble monument in Warsaw, “The Slaughterhouse Square” “Umschlagplatz” from which the 300,000 persecuted people of Treblinka left, he died of exhaustion at the age of 36. Charles TANGUY, born in 1950 is an Irish art critic and art photographer. An art photographer, his main favorite themes are photos of works of art and art exhibitions, just like Eugène Druet, he also photographs mainly urban landscapes, including Paris and New York. An art critic and jurist, he defends the cause of living artists struggling with Kafkaesque administrative harassment in France, the United States and Eastern European countries. He defends the cause of Klamerus, a Polish artist in the 1980s, victim of the Wall of Shame of the Soviet yoke in 1986. Then Charles Tanguy defends the cause of Peter Stilton, an American artist exhibited in 1995 in the Lise Cormery gallery, Paris, then at the Galerie Lise Cormery and at the Sorbonne in 1998. Stilton, an international artist, harassed by the French administration, never wanted to exhibit in France again. »
