Part 3 (of a triptych) From the end of 2015 I became interested in digital and since then I realize every day creations for prints or digital photographs. This giclee print on aluminum is a detail of my POP painting on Pierrefonds, a sugar factory in the south of Reunion Island which served as a model and as a basis for reflection ... and which still serves me today 'hui. I did an exhibition - Special performance on this theme in 2012 and 2017 my Ode to Pierrefonds.

Presentation

I was born in a small village in Reunion Island, a French department ... passionate about Art and painting from the age of 14 ... I first followed normal and usual studies and education (Bachelor in Mathematics) faculties of Montpellier, and I gave up everything in 1961 to turn to my passion and make it my job.

Art studies in Lyon and Professor of plastic arts in Paris (Institut Claude Bernard now replaced by Universities Arts). I started to do exhibitions in 1961 (Galerie Azur Montpellier) certified in plastic arts promotion 1970. Art teacher at Beziers 1971. I returned to my island (far from artistic centers) in Reunion in 1972 where I I taught from 1972 to 1997 while starting a real creation. I taught during the day and painted at night.

I have a fairly large production that I have been highlighting since my retirement in 1997 (associate in art) and I still continue to create in 2018.

I designed what I call "My Métis Romanticism" ... Paintings, abstractions, figurations, plurality and minimalism. I build my work without the idea of situating myself in the presence of a fashion or in the assurance of a concept or of connecting myself to a particular or restricted field which can be justified as personal ... I am and want to stay myself ... a thinking medium ... intuitive and conscious ... as in a state of meditation or communion with my creation.

It is the passion which guides me in my intuition… Experiences and analyzes (which is done after the fact… and allows me to accept and to accept myself); the adventure of a diverse production but faithful to my feeling of the Art that I want to present to the world ... an art faithful to myself.

I use the image in all the dimensions it offers itself to me ... by a set of framing, cutouts, assemblies, structuring, restructuring ... I invent ... but also recovers and transforms ...

The image is open social, cultural and material and it is this open image that appeals to me… that I create what I call "My contemporary romanticism" in a conversation with painting, history and reality
