Originally modeled in wax and then cast in bronze, this sculpture by Pierre Voituriez depicts a stylized chicken, whose title humorously evokes a Jurassic creature. Its textured, almost reptilian surface demonstrates remarkable anatomical mastery: the volumes are precise, the legs are powerful, and the texture of the skin—though devoid of feathers—seems strangely alive. Every detail reveals precise, sensitive modeling, which captures light with touches and organically emphasizes the reliefs.
But beyond this technical virtuosity, it is the artist's humor that gives this piece its uniqueness. With its clumsy appearance and large, fixed eyes, this strange chicken seems to have come straight from a parallel world—half-fowl, half-dinosaur. Its slightly hunched posture, its head turned to the side, suggests a sense of astonishment or comical curiosity, as if it had just become aware of its ancestral origins.
Looking at it, one smiles: the title, , acts as a mischievous reading key. It reminds us that beneath the familiar appearance of this farmyard animal hides the shadow of a forgotten Tyrannosaurus rex. The result? A fine and offbeat sculpture, which skillfully plays with the contrasts between the realism of the form, the strangeness of the expression, and the gentle irony of the subject.

Pierre Voituriez studied fine arts at the School of Fine Arts of Besançon, he then specialized and did an apprenticeship in ironwork.The artist creates animals whose visual aspect resembles characters from cartoons or from children's books. Pierre Voituriez brings to life playful, generous and kind animals in a poetic and refined style.
Pierre Voituriez loves working by series. He creates dogs, birds, foxes and horses with features that reminds the observers the books of Flanaghan and the portraits of Antan or Daumier.
His pieces are present in numerous French, Swiss, English, Russian and American collections.
