The Oil painting on Cardboard titled “Seagulls over the waves" immerses the viewer in a vivid seascape where the boundless energy of the ocean collides with the grace of flight. Through dynamic brushwork and a palette dominated by turquoise blues, deep greens, and earthy shoreline tones, the artist creates a composition that celebrates the eternal rhythm of sea, sky, and life that thrives between them. The painting does not merely depict a coastal scene; it conjures a sensory experience that allows the viewer to almost feel the salt spray, hear the crashing surf, and watch the graceful arcs of seabirds gliding above the restless waters. At the forefront, the rocky shoreline anchors the composition with bold, textured strokes of brown, umber, and touches of mossy green. The rocks, slick with sea spray, lead the eye toward the churning water that dominates the middle ground. The ocean is painted with sweeping strokes of emerald and teal, broken by whitecaps that rise and curl as waves push toward the shore. Each wave carries a palpable sense of momentum, their crests highlighted by luminous touches of white and pale green, giving the impression of sunlight refracted through translucent water. The interplay between dark, shadowy depths and shimmering highlights captures the sea's duality—its beauty and its power. Above the waves, seagulls soar in elegant arcs, their wings outstretched as they ride the currents of salty air. Painted with fluid, confident strokes of white and gray, they appear both weightless and commanding, embodying a freedom that only flight over the open sea can provide. Their presence adds life and movement to the scene, creating a dialogue between the turbulent energy of the waves below and the effortless grace of the skies above. In the distance, sailboats glide along the horizon, their sails catching the light in warm shades of cream, gold, and one accented with bold red stripes. These delicate forms contrast with the raw strength of the waves in the foreground, offering a sense of balance between human endeavor and the vast forces of nature. The boats also introduce a narrative element—sailors navigating the unpredictable sea, their lives dependent on harmony with wind and water. Beyond the boats, a cluster of coastal buildings nestled at the base of a looming mountain range adds depth and context, suggesting a small seaside village whose existence is intricately tied to the rhythms of the ocean.
