Here the artist has produced a series of boxes which he has filled with small pebbles picked up during his travels.
He invites us to make a cairn on the lid of the box, at the very place where the IGN map of the place where the pebbles were collected is engraved. Users also discover the different shapes and textures of the pebbles: here it is the pebbles of the Atlantic beaches.
An invitation to a poetic and subtle journey reminiscent of those small mounds of pebbles erected on paths or by the sea by walkers who thus imitate, while diverting it, the Nepalese tradition of the Lhapsa Buddhists.

The artist appeals to logics of constructions and/or manufacturing. Most often, he develops his vocabulary from a base borrowed from children's games, adding techniques and know-how acquired during his experiences in an industrial or artisanal environment. The weight and the form of the propositions are always determined by the relation to the body. Raphaël Galley is part of a sustainable development approach, systematically using natural or recycled materials: wood, rubber, felt, ceramics, balls or even truck tarpaulins intended for scrap... He sees shapes and materials as a possibility of re-agreement with our environment, whether natural or urban, starting from a sign (visual or physical) that surprises and questions.
