Presentación
Kawamura Gun es pintor, videasta y músico emergente en el mundo del arte internacional. Nacido como Yaizu en Japón, se mudó a Londres para estudiar arte. Se enamoró del movimiento transvanguardista y se trasladó a Roma, donde aún vive y trabaja.
Su arte no podría existir sin humor, cinismo y un toque de sensualidad. Los espacios urbanos en Roma, Tokio, NY son la clave de su trabajo inspirado en el cómic, el graffiti o los dibujos animados. Personajes desnudos tapándose el rostro con vendas de gasa por donde sale solo la boca, comiendo ramen o corriendo por la ciudad en un escenario urbano cáustico y paradójico de perspectivas y ángulos contradictorios, a veces corriendo y comiendo al mismo tiempo. Ocupan espacios, cambian de dimensión, se mueven en diferentes ángulos, miran asustados por algo, o más bien emocionados, obsesionados por la comida y por el ciclo contemporáneo del riciclo y el consumo.
