XOOOOX, born in 1979, center of life in Berlin - Germany's first street artist with international reputation does not reveal much more about himself. From the age of 15, XOOOOX perfected his graffiti art. With his trademark life-size stencils of styled models, which he sprays on weathered, dilapidated surfaces in public spaces and signs with the two letters X and O of his pseudonym, the art scene became aware of him. At international exhibitions, the self-taught artist XOOOOX mainly shows abstract paintings, object art, works on paper and photography. Who wants to buy XOOOOX, has the choice between originals and limited, signed graphic editions. XOOOOX usually works on old facades. Here, the vintage look and positioning is important to Him. Occasionally, however, there are also works on "movable goods" such as steel doors or electricity boxes. Street art lives from what surrounds you and the situation in which it arises. Rough facades, rusty gates, windy corners, time pressure, most difficult creation conditions. This is the reason why many of XOOOOX's artworks offered in galleries are created on authentic supports made of wood and steel. Furthermore, XOOOX works on large copper plates that, when exposed to light, develops a special aesthetic that changes over time. XOOOOX came across the stencil technique through the French street artist Blek le Rat. He was a pioneer of the stencil, who was also on the road in Berlin. Unlike many graffiti artists who now have their stencils made by machine, XOOOOX still cuts out his stencils by hand. An artistic creative process that is also visible in the works.

For the background he uses materials with history like weather-beaten or putrid wood and fabric. Like this, he creates an aspect of evanescence and a contrast to the glamour of the world of fashion.
In many of his works he uses logos of fashion brands which he defamiliarizes. In some cases he pays homage, for example brands that have a long tradition. With others it is rather the criticism of over-industrialization of fashion and an invitation to the observer to scrutinize the topic.
