They have nourished many fables and legends. They are present on the rock paintings of the Lascaux caves, have become the Chimeras of Greek mythologies, the Yokai among the Japanese, the Rakshasa in India, the Totems of the American natives... They have a thousand names, a thousand forms and a thousand personalities . Unfortunately, the progression of monotheistic religions and industrial developments have cut people off from Nature and their roots. Little by little, the Bestias moved away, disappeared from the sight of humans. However, here and there, men are fighting to rediscover the original link with their habitat and their planet. Presentation
Olivier Francois Guildebert Leveaufre, known as Olivier Tenedor, was born in 1982 in Cherbourg.
After studying cinema and theater at the University of Rennes, he worked for several years as a projectionist in arthouse cinemas.
In 2009, he embarked on a trip to South America. His encounter with the cultures and people of this continent is a revelation for him. Pre-Columbian art, the Guaraní sculptures of the Jesuit missions, the myths and legends of Bolivia, the visit to Machu Pichu among others fascinate and transport him. Drawing and painting became his favorite mediums, while experimenting with wood engraving and ceramics.
In 2011, he moved to Buenos Aires, where he created a screen printing workshop, disseminating his work and that of many young Argentinian artists.
In 2015, he founded Quorum with his partner and the photographer Santiago Carrera, a space dedicated to the sale of contemporary art from Latin America which quickly became an essential place in the artistic scene of the Argentine capital. His works are sold in numerous private collections around the world.
In 2021, he moved to Nantes to broadcast Quorum artists to the French public while continuing his work and his pictorial research.
