Skeletons searching for their identity, phras- es resembling forgotten thoughts, and images balancing between irony, anxiety, and carnal pleasure.
The artwork explores the tension between life and death, inner conflicts, and social critique, revealing the ambiguous nature of human desire, creating a visual diary of un- conscious fears, repressed desires, and the longing for an indulgent escape from reality.

Stef Basias is a young 23-year-old painter born in Greece. He grew up in an artistic atmosphere, sur-rounded by a social circle of artists.
With a background in graphic design and 3D design, he incorporates elements from these fields into his painting, crafting compositions that oscillate between the dreamlike allure of pop-romanticism and the unfil expression of the subconscious. Through mixed techniques, bold colors, and symbolism, he explores issues related to psychology, personal identity, and social tensions, creating a visual dialogue that moves between personal and collective experience.
Stef Basias is inspired by influential people in the world of painting, such as Jean Dubuffet, Andy Warhol, Robert Combas, David Hockney, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and many others.
For him, art is a way to decode the subconscious and bring inner worlds to the surface. Each piece is an invitation to explore the tension between structure and spontaneity, between personal introspection and shared human experience.
