For the past ten years, Pierre Touron has dedicated himself entirely to drawing. He initially focused and developed his work towards a dreamlike and poetic figuration.
More recently, abstraction has entered his artistic journey, or rather, re-entered it. Indeed, his artistic production has always unfolded in a back-and-forth between figuration and abstraction, using a wide variety of forms and techniques:
"It is my interest in composition that leads me to forget the subject in order to explore, with greater freedom, the interplay of forms, solids, voids, light, shadow, and so on." Pierre Touron simultaneously constructs and deconstructs. Between order and chaos, he creates spaces and traces paths, fragile and random: kaleidoscopic patterns, imaginary archaeologies, palimpsest landscapes, polygraphic scores… sometimes very dense and labyrinthine,
sometimes more refined. “I improvise while maintaining control, disrupting what seems too perfect, too structured, to reintroduce the unexpected…” The artist brings his drawings to life with great care and meticulous attention to detail.

For the past ten years, Pierre Touron has chosen drawing, nothing but drawing. He initially oriented and developed his work towards a dreamlike and poetic figuration.
