Artwork location: France

"Tulips in Bloom" is a vivid and expressive contemporary floral painting by French artist Natalya Mougenot, part of her acclaimed Floral Series. In this series, Mougenot seamlessly blends expressionism, abstract art, art brut, and impressionism to capture her emotions and visions in a single, unalterable sitting—never revisiting the canvas once it's complete. For her, each painting represents a moment of symbiosis between artist and artwork, and upon finishing, she experiences a sense of relief, allowing the piece to live its own life.

Inspired by the dopamine art movement, Natalya's use of vibrant colors reflects her unique artistic perception. By intentionally employing bold and energetic hues, she breathes vitality into her subjects. Tulips in Bloom is created with acrylic paints on a stretched cotton canvas, ready to hang, and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. International delivery from France is available, with each piece carefully packed for protection.

The artwork features a striking bouquet of orange tulips, painted with bold brushstrokes and arranged in a clear glass vase. Set against a rich turquoise background, the contrasting colors amplify the dynamic energy of the piece. The thick paint application encourages tactile exploration, while reflections of light across the vase add movement and depth. By emphasizing emotion over realism, Mougenot masterfully combines cool and warm tones to craft a lively, captivating composition.

More than just a celebration of floral beauty, Tulips in Bloom explores the power of color and form, striking a harmonious balance between abstraction and representation. This work encapsulates the essence of springtime renewal, capturing a fleeting moment of vivid liveliness.

Mougenot's approach to expressionism is deeply rooted in freedom and spontaneity, working without a set plan. Completing a piece in a single sitting is integral to her process, allowing her to infuse the artwork with immediate emotion and energy—something she believes can never be replicated once the painting is finished.

Painted with acrylics on heavyweight, professional-grade, acid-free paper, the piece is varnished to protect against dust and fading, preserving the vibrancy of its colors over time. It is sold unframed, allowing you to choose a frame that suits your space and style. To inspire potential buyers, photographs of the artwork in different frame settings are included, showing how it can enhance both traditional and modern interiors.

"Tulips in Bloom" is available for international shipping, carefully packed and shipped from France with a Certificate of Authenticity. With its bold color palette and dynamic technique, this piece offers a joyful celebration of tulips, inviting viewers to experience the emotional depth and warmth of Mougenot's memories.

Presentation

Natalya is a contemporary  french artist living in Lyon.

She was born and grew up in Kazakhstan, the country known for its spacious steppes.

She arrived in France 2003. Since that moment she loves her adoptive country.

She started painting in 2017 and used it as a therapeutic and emotional release during times of crisis. She incorporates this therapeutic approach in her artistic creative process till now.

In her artistic practice she refers to the terms of metamodernism,  which proposes to look at the world from the position of the inner adult.

As an artist and as a woman  she translates the experience of her personal search for balance based on harmony between mind, soul and body. This balance, in her opinion,  is the pillar for the inner adult.

Important components of her work are authenticity, soulfulness, sincerity, emotionality and honesty. She immerses the objects and the characters in the world where there is no falsity, rudeness, loneliness and indifference.

She works  rapidly  and is constantly sensitive  to the details.

Her artistic process is a fine balance between a pre-meditation and spontantainty which helps her to create her expressive  atmospheric artworks with a modern touch of impressionism by cultivating a naive art approach.
