This work of art presents a meticulous and bewitching study of the flora, captured on a dark canvas, accentuating the delicate details of plants. The striking contrast between the clear plant elements and the dark background creates an almost ethereal atmosphere, and magnifies each sheet, branch and flower with almost botannic precision. The table is divided into two panels, which gives the whole a refined diptych quality. The composition is carefully balanced, each panel offering visual and thematic continuity, where the curved lines of the stems and leaves are extended and responded from one panel to another. The textures are made with extraordinary finesse, capturing the fragile rib of the leaves and the roughness of the stems with striking realism.

Presentation
Born in 1982, Yvanne de Coligny is a French artist living and working in the Lyon area.
A qualified plastic arts teacher, she has primarily devoted herself to drawing and painting since 2020, while also pursuing a teaching career at a high school.
Her current reflections focus on the concept of time, which she explores through her observations of fragments of wild and protective nature that seem to develop beyond the confines imposed by the chosen mediums, and through artistic choices that evoke the notion of fragility.
Her practice in photography influences her framing and compositional choices, and her fondness for Japanese prints is evident in the purity of her drawing lines. Her works are decidedly graphic and organic, viewed as open windows onto a wild and depopulated world, where nature reclaims its rights.
