Presentation
Born in Warsaw, Poland. Graduated in Art History from the University of Warsaw and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1969. Joanna Flatau has lived and worked in Paris since 1971, first as a graphic designer, then as a painter. She began her career in Paris by being selected by the Museum of Modern Art to be part of “Travaux sur Papiers” in 1982. Since then, she has carried out numerous solo exhibitions in Europe (France, Poland, England, Switzerland). His paintings have been presented many times in most major exhibitions such as the Biennale Internationale du Pastel, the Salon de Montrouge, the Salon de Mai or the Salon Comparaisons at the Grand Palais. The National Contemporary Art Fund has acquired some of his pastels. Several times exhibited by Cérès Franco at the "L'oeil de Boeuf" gallery and represented in her collection, Joanna Flatau continued her career at the "Idées d'Artistes" gallery and in other galleries in France and abroad. . At the end of 2008, she exhibited at the Grand Palais and at the Institut du Monde Arabe and individually in the new Claire Corcia gallery in Paris.
