Luo Li Rong born in 1980 in Hunan, China, is an artist/sculptress who graduated with high honors from the prestigious Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beijing in 2005. Her graduation project received numerous awards. At the age of 18 (1998), Luo Li Rong attends the Changsha Academy of Arts (Hunan-China). At the age of 20, she attends CAFA (Beijing) for 5 years in Sui Jiang Guo Department. She studied ceramics with Lu Pin Chang and sculpture with Sun Jia Bo. During this period, she participated in several public sculpture projects, especially for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Sculptures that have been on display in Da Lian Park since 2003.

Now living in Europe, she has been receiving increasing recognition and appreciation for her art from international galleries and collectors since 2014. Luo Li Rong's sculptures are an integral part of contemporary Chinese culture and show a subtle and relevant connection to the West. Luo Li Rong is one of those rare artists who have benefited from the profoundly intensive teaching of demanding masters. Masters who continue to pay close attention to the path of their students today. The artist Xiao Xiao Qiu of the Changsha Academy of Arts sees in her a real talent for perceiving forms in space and translating them into clay. He is the one who encouraged and helped her prepare for the CAFA entrance exams. CAFA artist Sun Jia Bo influenced her sculptural approach and, as a student, led her to focus her attention on the presence of the model and what emerges from it. Through these valuable experiences and constant personal research, Luo Li Rong gradually found her way and uncovered the contours of her future sculptures. Her current style is characterized by a rare know-how and a surprising strength in execution.

Upon seeing her work, the viewer is immediately struck by the extreme delicacy of modeling and the great sensuality that emanates from it. However, this attention to control, however remarkable, fades in favor of what is expressed in the subject matter. Luo Li Rong invites us not to remain in the stage of fascination with forms and outward appearances, but to move beyond them in order to discover the spirit of the model. For example, the veils and the wind in the hair, are primarily an echo of the inner world of the depicted figures. The natural folds, the movements, the gaze, seem to be directly captured by the artist, but for Luo Li Rong they are like a crack in the doorway to the eternity dimension of Man.

Luo Li Rong, Audrey And Green

Presentation

Luo Li Rong, born in 1980 in Hunan, China, is an internationally renowned sculptor celebrated for her figurative bronze sculptures. With an exceptional mastery of sculpture techniques, she creates works that capture the fluidity of movement and the elegance of the human form.

At just 18 years old, she entered the Changsha Academy of Arts, where she quickly honed her artistic skills. By 20, she was admitted to the prestigious Beijing Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), specializing in ceramics and sculpture under the guidance of Sun Jia Guo and Lu Pin Chang. Graduating with honors in 2005, her academic journey laid the foundation for a remarkable artistic career.

During her studies, Luo Li Rong participated in public sculpture projects, including monumental installations for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, visible today in Da Lian Park. This experience propelled her into the spotlight, and her graduation project was widely praised, marking the beginning of her professional ascent.

Since 2014, Luo Li Rong has been based in Europe, primarily in Belgium, where she has gained significant recognition from international galleries and collectors. Her works bridge contemporary Chinese culture and Western artistic traditions, offering a unique and refined interpretation of both.

Luo Li Rong's sculptures, predominantly in bronze, are deeply influenced by the European Renaissance and Baroque masters, much like the work of Auguste Rodin. Her exquisite attention to detail, fluid drapery, and ability to convey movement and sensuality make her works stand out. The women she sculpts, though remarkably realistic, appear almost ethereal, evoking a sense of mysticism and timeless beauty.

Her sculptures, often described as poetic and dreamlike, reflect her technical expertise and artistic sensitivity. By combining delicate modeling with a sense of eternal grace, she creates pieces that resonate deeply with art lovers and collectors worldwide.

In 2024 and 2025, Luo Li Rong continues to captivate the art world with new bronze sculptures that push the boundaries of figurative art. Her recent exhibitions across Europe, Asia, and North America have solidified her reputation as one of the most sought-after sculptors in the contemporary scene.

Her latest works explore feminine beauty, movement, and the dialogue between classical and modern influences, attracting collectors from prestigious art fairs, galleries, and museums. With a growing international presence and increasing demand for her bronze sculptures, Luo Li Rong remains a major figure in the field of contemporary figurative sculpture.

Whether you are an art collector, an admirer of bronze figurative art, or simply fascinated by the beauty of sculptural expression, Luo Li Rong's artworks offer a breathtaking experience. Her sculptures are available through galleries, exhibitions, and private collections, allowing art enthusiasts to own a piece of timeless beauty.
