Born in Nice, France, Marie Tissot comes from an Italo-Tuscan family. Very young, she was drawn to art. especially painting and drawing.
She studied at the Visual Art Scool in Nice, then joined the European Art Academy in Trier, Germany. During her career, she worked in many studios and shared a space with a famous Belgian painter who remained her mentor.
Marie Tissot participated in major international exhibitions until 1970. For example, the artist was enthusiastically selected for the New York Prize in 1973 and won it.
Today, many collectors around the world intimately cherish the works of Marie Tissot. The international "CRECY-MARINO" baptized her "Academic Knight" in 1999. Her studio is located in the heart of the village of Mougins-Village, where Marie Tissot's gallery has existed since 1986; where we are invited to share his works as a sumptuous and menacing presence.
