Giancarlo Costanzo was born in 1949 in Pescara, sculptor, painter, has numerous personal and collective exhibitions to his credit, his training, first as a sculptor and then as a painter, took place at the School of Art of Pescara in "68" alongside his cousin the sculptor Ferdinando Gammelli and the three representatives of the G3 group: Elio Di Blasio, Ettore Spalletti and Franco Summa (1970). As a painter, critics and art masters were interested in him for to name just a few: Carlo Fabrizio Carli, Floriano De Santi, Edoardo Di Mauro, Paolo D'Orazio, Enzo Fabiani, Leonardo Faccioli, Armando Ginesi, Gian Ruggero Manzoni, Vincenzo Mazzarella, Bianca Menna, Achille Pace, Antonio Picariello , Maria Cristina Ricciardi, Benito Sablone, Vittorio Sgarbi, Raffaella Soligo, Leo Strozzieri , Duccio Trombadori He seeks, apart from painting, other solutions always in the field of art, he proposes himself as a designer also realizing decorations for the Piccolo Te atro. Together with the artist Lucio Spiezia he organizes exhibitions in Pescara. a Mode Art Gallery, in Campania at the Il Ponte Gallery in Nocera inf. and Villa Rufolo di Ravello (1997) and constitutes the Cultural Association PAE (Pescara Art Evolution) with its gallery where exhibitions are organized for local contemporary artists and historical and international masters, some of them: Paolo D'Orazio, Michele Cascella , Umberto Mastroianni, Lucio Spiezia, Elio Di Blasio, Giulia Napoleone, Franco Summa, Mimmo Paladino. With Maestro Elio Di Blasio he participated in various exhibitions, the one in Rome at the Enrico Lombardi Gallery in 2003 was memorable and subsequently he began to organize events of international importance and also became interested in social issues: a solidarity exhibition for the "Dayak" populations of Borneo. In the same year he organized the traveling exhibition that ended at Palazzo Valentini in Rome, Art Events, dedicated to universality. II ^ Ed. 2009, of "Dialectic on the ground" in favor of Rwanda and alongside the protagonist Paul Rusesabagina. He organizes, among other things, a large charity exhibition at the Palazzo della Provincia in Pescara, "Our colors for ..." in favor of the homeless of the Association "On the Road ONLUS" (year 2013). It is his idea and the organization of the PescarArt Prize (Biennale) and Visual Arts Exhibition with internationally renowned Critics and the participation of Great Masters and Contemporary Artists. Currently, in addition to dealing with his painting, also using photography and installations, he also works as artistic director and with the curatorship of Gian Ruggero Manzoni, organizing personal exhibitions at: Mimmo Paladino, Matteo Basile, Omar Gallliani , Giulia Napoleone, Franco Mulas and others
