GINO MASINI was born in Livorno in Tuscany in 1949.
An artist who grew up self-taught and trained over the years thanks to tenacity, instinct, but above all a strong sensitivity of soul.
This Tuscan artist prefers to paint his countryside, enchanted landscapes, fields of sunflowers and poppies, old ruins, farmhouses at sunset, come to life on his canvases and tables, his paintings want to offer those who look at them a single message : inner tranquility.
The vision of a countryside crossed by a dirt road, reproduced through a splendid post-Macchiaioli painting, stimulates the interest of a 14 year old boy, Gino feels the heat, the scents, he almost breathes the dust of that road, they are unique, personal emotions , a spring is triggered, he feels the need to convey those sensations, even to other people, so he sets out on the path of colors, expressing himself with a simple and effective language
Gino Masini's figurative painting was born in the wake of the Labronian tradition and drew inspiration from the teachings of the great masters, from whom he learned the technique that allowed him to let his natural mastery shine.
Landscapes, seascapes, flowery fields and suggestive views are his favorite subjects. It is a painting with quick touches, which discovers en plein air the wonder and splendor of nature, a painting in one go, which immediately captures impressions to translate them into images with a strong emotional charge.
The poignant magic of a sunset, the suggestive strength of a foaming sea, poetic images that captivate us in the spell of a timeless beauty, which reconciles everything and puts everything back into play, bringing thoughts back to planes far from worries, into a world of calm harmony.
The colors are vivid and dazzling, the light vibrates between the brushstrokes, now vigorous, when they tell us of sunny wheat fields, now delicate in the soft blues of the skies. Bright and clear, clear and flawless, limpid and joyful, it is a painting that looks at the world around us with a contemporary look, with confident enthusiasm and involves us with its contagious charge of positive energy.
