This work displays a dazzling beauty and daffodils that welcome the season of new beginnings - Spring. With the smallest strokes of details and layers of color, the painting focuses on the brilliant emerald- violet plumage of the ' Green Crowned Woodnymph ' - a hummingbird species known for its iridescent throat and crown. With meticulous attention to details , the lines are hand painted on each feathers to resemble the beauty of such species. It is a simple yet splendid representation of the Spring Season with daffodils garden in a pitch black backdrop and the stunning subject of the painting that adds both depth and definition to the overall composition.

Education and Profession:
About Artist and work style: Sreya Gupta is an Indian Contemporary Artist, and professional Jewelry Designer. The three things which define her style are – a bright color palette, a detailed subject and a botanical background. Each composition is a tribute to the nature- a never ending source for inspiration. She believes in versatility and likes to explore different mediums and styles. Some of her favorite subject includes Landscapes, birds and butterflies. Bird conservation is the prime purpose of her works which exhibit intense color, texture and beauty revealing some very unique bird species which are precisely portrayed with lush green foliage and flowers. The botanical background of each work is meticulously created to complement the subject.
Artist Statement:
“My works explore some amazing bird species represented with floral symbolism and color harmony in contemporary compositions. My personal attachment to birds and nature is deeply connected with admiration of such a vibrant and variant color palette of nature that is a constant source of inspiration and a true source of hope and freedom that evoke from each bird in the wild. Through my paintings I aim to capture nature in a way that displays life and beauty. To portray the diverse beauty in nature that captures the essence of the subject with colors in the highest detail is truly a challenging creative experience. Nature is my muse, peace and hope."
