"There is no single formula for a landscape genre. As for me, a true landscape is the one based on sensitivity of perception. Such landscape is elusive like a mirage. It is a matter of a feeling but not of the material world…
In my painting 'Echo', I am attempting to achieve an acoustic feeling using a visual language. I am playing with multiple layers of meaning, striving to merge the vividness of the landscape into the realm of abstraction.
My ultimate mission is to combine what is seen with what is unseen, and to make the viewer's experience multi-dimensional. To provide a unique atmosphere of mysticism to each landscape painting I use like ingredient not only oil on canvas, but emotions and feelings. This intriguing, abstracted view of the environment, invites the audience to explore my new realm. "
This mesmerizing artwork is an exquisite example of abstract expressionism, distinguished by its profound use of texture, light, and color. The painting primarily showcases a palette dominated by rich, varied hues of green, seamlessly blended to create a dreamlike, almost ethereal quality. The spectrum of green hues ranges from deep, forest tones to lighter, more verdant shades, providing an impression of depth and tranquility. Running horizontally through the canvas, a strikingly bold band of dark color creates a powerful contrast that serves as the focal point of the composition. This band appears almost translucent, with subtle, shimmering light encapsulated within, evoking a sense of mystery and intrigue. Below, a series of luminous, white forms punctuate the darker band, adding a rhythmic, almost musical element to the piece. These ephemeral shapes seem to dance across the dark expanse, their glow suggesting reflections on water or distant lights seen through mist. The textural quality of the painting is palpable; the artist's deft manipulation of the medium creates a rich, tactile surface that invites closer inspection. This texture is not uniform but varies, adding complexity and a dimensional feel to the work. The interplay of matte and glossy surfaces further enhances the visual experience, engaging the viewer's eye and prompting a deeper exploration of the canvas. Additionally, a faint, horizontal streak of light at the upper quadrant hints at a horizon or a distant light source, adding a layer of spatial context that grounds the composition and provides a sense of infinite expanse. The overall mood of the piece is serene yet enigmatic, inviting the viewer into a contemplative state. Signed in the lower left corner, the artist's signature is a subtle yet affirming mark of authenticity, establishing a personal connection to the creator. This captivating piece stands as a testament to the artist's command over their craft and their ability to evoke profound emotional responses through abstract form.
