This work by the artist EGHNĀ revisits the iconic character of Hello Kitty in a bold and saturated street art style. The face of the famous cat is at the center but is distorted and enriched with a collection of graffiti, tags, and vibrant graphic elements. Hello Kitty's thick black outline is accentuated with touches of pink, red, and black, giving her an almost irreverent appearance in contrast to her traditional and polished look.On the upper part, handwritten inscriptions, such as "NAME KITTY HELLO?" and other phrases in black lettering, add a layer of questioning or reinterpretation. Heart motifs, stylized eyes, and words like "LOVE" and "CUTE" appear in a deconstructed manner. A striking visual contrast is created by layers of pink paint and black strokes covering certain areas, giving an impression of controlled chaos and irony.The word "HELLO K." painted in pink capital letters at the bottom of the piece, and the phrases "BYE BYE BYE" and "LOVE" on the right side reinforce the idea of a dialogue between the familiar character and her contemporary transformation. This juxtaposition symbolizes the cultural appropriation and transformation of pop elements into tools of protest and artistic expression.
