Description: I believe painting is a kind of journey, revealing truths about the essence of life. It's a challenge, a struggle, and a triumph once completed. There's a moment in the process where I doubt it will work at all. In the Bible, God reveals himself to people through their journeys. My painting, Illumination, depicts a crowd of refugees crossing a wire fence. These individuals are on their own journey. Contemplating the image of the refugees, I saw a profound sadness and envisioned a parallel with Mary holding Jesus during the Descent from the Cross. Through this artwork, I believe God wanted to convey a message of love and reveal himself through his passion, death, and resurrection.

Presentation
Artist Statement:
(b. 1982 Czarna Woda, Poland),lived in Kingston upon Hull(UK), lives and work in Singapore.
I completed MFA with distinction at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland in 2007. I create artworks predominantly in the medium of painting and sculpting.
I am interested in creating artworks about life and everything that surrounds us with its pathos. Recently I investigate contemporary problems like Refugee, fatherhood and motherhood, obesity, riots, conflicts, politics, environmental and social issues(identity, racism)
In 2018 I started work on series of artworks (painting/sculptures) called Bystanders, where I am revolving around the questions of crisis, struggles of everyday alienation and how we stand as a bystander, watch and read about adversities that take place in various spaces. (Bystanders at Changi Beach '2018)
Where art meets nature, and nature meets technology and politics, this is where I appear. In my work, I take up issues related to politics and show how it affects our society and our lives. I create artworks in which I show the impact of technology and human activity on the natural environment as well as contemporary problems and politics. I like difficult topics and I am not afraid of creating artworks with deep political or social content. I believe that through art I have a real influence on society and social life: urban and rural spaces, large human communities and small local communities. I show a new type of man who lives in a technologized society.
