This artwork is a striking diptych that captivates with its abstract expressionist flair. On the left panel, dynamic brushstrokes in earthy browns, vibrant greens, and bold blacks evoke a sense of movement and vitality. The inclusion of soft pastel pinks adds an unexpected contrast, enhancing the composition's complexity. The right panel complements this with its cooler palette; swirling violet, subtle grays, and splashes of black create a tranquil, yet stirring visual dialogue. The use of negative space allows each color to breathe, highlighting the raw energy of the brushwork. This abstract piece invites contemplation, drawing the viewer into its layered textures and enigmatic forms. Its distinct interplay of colors and forms marks it as a unique exploration of emotion and spontaneity.

Liquid Life N4 and N2, Diptych, 2024 by Rosario Briones
From the series “Liquid Life"

Overall size: 106 Height x 212 Width cm.
Individual size: 106 Height x 106 Width cm.
Without frame.
Signed by the artist on the back.
For this wet and random technique, the artist used absorbent paper as a support. The paper is cut irregularly on its edges and has minimal holes and wrinkles that reinforce the idea of organicity, register and line.
There is something hypnotic about the use of water. The artist tries to understand his invasive and expansive way, his little capacity for control, limits and edges.
The artist dyes the water with the dyes and drags the color as far from the paper as she can. The stain on the paper is constructed by the accident between water and color, a chance encounter that the artist only guides, accommodates and shapes.
The water capriciously does the rest.
In his work, the path of his body becomes shapes, and the shapes, an indication of the artistic process, directed by the emotion of his body. The paper collects that imprint of that moment, an echo of impermanence. The transience of everything is revealed in the artwork, a reminder that nothing remains. And yet, in that moment anything is possible. Water, color and your body come together in a creative dance that transcends time.

Rosario Briones is an artist and art teacher. Graduated from the Prilidiano Pueyrredón National School of Fine Arts in 2002. She took post graduate seminars at the Ernesto de la Cárcova Higher School of Fine Arts. She has also attended numerous art workshops.
In her work, the path of his body becomes shapes, and the shapes, an indication of the artistic process, of the material choreography directed by the emotion of the body, where it hides and an experience of intimate order is glimpsed.
The fluidity of her paintings finds no structure. Exploring the same procedure in different supports such as papers and fabrics. The artist is interested in the infinite possibilities that offer her the material, its porosities, weaves, thicknesses and different capacities of absorption, they return images that are not in her head. Signed for a game of tensions, a fight between forces, given by the accumulations of pigment, the transparencies, the forms and their search for balance. Sometimes controlled and other times more chance, they become a record of a living materiality. She is part of the Grupo Charco collective, an artistic research group made up of seven artists who together develop collective and individual actions
