Presentation
Adélia Clavien is originally from Miège (VS), born in Portugal and established in Switzerland since 1981.
In Valais, she spent a long time in artistic circles, but it was in St. Gallen that she took her first painting classes and made her debut in photography. In the 2000s, Adélia settled in Lausanne, then in Trélex. Curious and passionate, Adélia has had a fascination for the Arts since she was very young.
She works in a self-taught way and, intensely passionate, likes to explore the many painting techniques including abstract, pop art (mixed technique of photo on canvas by mixing acrylic paint, stained glass, charcoal, sand, resin etc.) and thus associates in some creations photography and painting - new pop realism. Her works invite you to escape and join her colorful and joyful universe!
In order to devote more time to her artistic activities (painting, photography, music and dance) she works 60% and for more than 20 years in the field of IT. Self-taught, she has several strings to her bow, speaks several languages, plays several instruments, masters new technologies and has a natural ease in human relations. During her career, Adelia Clavien has already participated in important international solo and group exhibitions in New York, Cairo, São Paulo, Berlin, Dubai, Venice, Florence, Miami, Durham, Paris, Rome, Geneva, Lisbon, Berlin etc. and in April 2023 she opens her own gallery (Art for You) in Sierre.
