Living in Provence between Avignon and Nîmes, she was born in 1960. Her art is never static, it is liberated. Her dynamic gestures, punctuated by the musicality of her colors, offer infinite colorful journeys in variable movements and thicknesses.
Sylvette Dauchet is a graduate of the School of Fine Arts in Avignon and St Étienne (AKOUN artist rating).
She paints landscapes, still lifes, and seascapes under the influence of figurative-abstract expressionism. Painting is for her an impulse of the heart, a communion, the calm of the studio, its smell, its vibrant light; balance. "I need this perfect harmony to feel good in painting. I seek the screaming minimalism of life, the light that slips through it."
