Presentation
Artist Statement:
I consider myself as an artist of figurative style and traditional formation inspired by the human faces, human body and personal experiences that touched my soul. I enjoy both figurative and abstract style, drawing and painting. The main theme of most of my pieces has to do with honest emotions and deep feelings. My work often deals with found imagery (as in magazine ads, antique newspapers and old photographs), the notions of body – portrait – identity as well as the aspects of public versus private and the commercialization of the body. Urban landscape, nature or portraiture, oil painting, pastel, ink or charcoal, everything is the way I interact with the world, to explain who I am.
I am an artist of Russian origin. I was born in Rostov-on-Don, and since 2010, I have been living and working in Paris. I started my artistic career in my native town Roston-on-Don as a graphic designer, after graduation from the State Academy of Architecture and Art. Having arrived in France, I began to work as an artist and continued my education on a post graduate course ( "Esthétique, Sciences et Technologies des Arts" ). I have taken part in numerous art salons and collective art exhibitions in Île-de-France. My art works have been acquired for private collections in France, Russia, Germany, Great Britain, the USA, etc .
