Ta Byrne was born in Thailand in 1974. artist & author Ta paints people not as you may know them but as dramatic, emotional, and sometimes theatrical but always with feelings and always special. Her work is hanging on walls in 67 countries In addition to her success as an artist her book Egg Island is in the bookshops and available worldwide. In this whimsical creation, I blend the everyday with the fantastical, encapsulating a surreal expression of emotion through an ordinary objectâ€"an egg. The yolk serves as a radiant, oversized headpiece, disrupting norms and evoking a blend of wonder and introspection. This painting speaks to the layers of our identity, encouraging viewers to break free from conventional shells and reveal their unique inner selves. Presentation
Ta Byrne is a Thai artist who lives and works on the beautiful island of Koh Samui,
just off the south coast of Thailand. Her Oil Paintings?. are vibrant, eye-catching and packed with a sense of fun and humour. Ta takes humans as her focal point in her Figurative Painting but abstracts these figures by distorting them and using a cartoonish style to create a more humorous feel. While her work is mostly
representational, she incorporates Surrealist elements in many of her paintings, making her one of the most exciting artists working in Thailand today.
Ta Byrne's Artistic journey
Ta comes from humble beginnings, living out her childhood on the rural outskirts of
Bangkok as a farmer's daughter. During her teen years, she worked sewing shirts in a Bangkok sweatshop, and it was during this time that she met an old street artist who invited her to his studio. This sparked her desire to become an artist, and since then, she has gone on to produce Abstract and Cubist paintings that have received international acclaim from art connoisseurs.
Collections and exhibitions
Ta's Painting feature in private collections across over 63 countries, ranging from
Australia to Spain, and from Hong Kong to Malibu Beach. She has had a solo
exhibition at the Peter Dougie Art Gallery in Koh Samui, and the Six Senses hotel Koh Samui has graced the walls of The Apple Gallery in Bath and the Masa-UK Art Gallery in Manchester in the UK.

Artistic Influences:
My inspiration comes from my imagination along with; Claude Monet for his use of colour, his expressiveness, detail and the softness of his beautiful paintings. Vincent van Gogh for his bold use of colour his expressiveness, and I like to think I'm a little impulsive like him, and Lowry for his simple but very sophisticated work.
