Presentation
Born in 1990 in Germany, Marlen Letetzki lives and works in Berlin.
Through her work, Marlen explores how color evolves and renews itself in space. "I'm fascinated by the way color manifests itself or becomes invisible and reveals an image," she explains.
By superimposing surfaces and accentuating the play of light, she questions perception by deconstructing the meanings of forms and the hierarchies of our daily lives.
His creative process is deeply rooted in the observation of his environment. “Painting, for me, is the examination of the visible. Everything I experience visually can be the starting point for a painting."
Working primarily in oil and watercolor, she exploits their contrasting qualities: oil, dense and malleable, allows for continuous transformation, while watercolor demands precision and control, reacting to every variation in humidity and layering. Using aluminum composite panels as a painting support brings both structural and aesthetic clarity to her work.
Marlen Letetzki invites the viewer to enter a universe where color, light and form unfold naturally, capturing the very essence of the visual experience.
Numerous galleries, such as Christine König in Vienna and FeldbuschWiesnerRudolph Galerie in Berlin, have already exhibited his works.
